By summer 2023, we will have installed 67 ultra-fast charging stations on motorway service stations throughout France! That’s a total of 800 charging point installations throughout the country, in collaboration with motorway concession operators such as SANEF, APRR and VINCI. We’re also rolling out ultra-fast charging stations in partnership with Certas Energy Retail France.
As part of the expansion of our network of stations, we are also planning to reinvest and deploy new charging terminals.
At the same time, we are installing 4,200 charging points on B&B hotel car parks, as well as equipping INDIGO car parks. Moreover, we operate in several French cities, including Strasbourg, Epinal and Aix Marseille.

To start charging your vehicle, select the connector and payment method:
– top-up card (RFID)
– bank card (CREDIT CARD)
– online (QR CODE) by scanning the QR code displayed on the terminal screen

There are various terminal models; some are equipped with a touch screen allowing you to select the connector
Once payment details are validated, you will be prompted to connect your vehicle, which will begin charging shortly after.
For motorway stations, refer to the instructions displayed on the side of the terminals.

To stop charging your vehicle, use your top-up card or bank card and stop the charging process via the terminal’s screen.
If you paid online, stop the charging process via the tracking page on your phone.
Unlock your vehicle and disconnect the connector.

Depending on the terminal, three payment methods are available:
– top-up card (our terminals are compatible with most European top-up cards)
– bank card (Visa, Mastercard)
– online by scanning the QR code displayed on the terminal screen

Our terminals are compatible with most European top-up cards, including the Freshmile Pass, Shell Recharge card, Plugsurfing, Eneco emobility and TotalEnergies.

Visa and Mastercard are accepted. You can also make a Mobile payment if you have set up this service for your bank card.

We currently offer 300kW at €0.57/kWh at most of our stations: SANEF, APRR and VINCI distributors.
For stations operated by our partner CERTAS (16 stations), the rate is at €0.69/kWh.
This rate applies when using your bank card or if you pay online via the QR code. If you use other top-up cards, rates may vary according to the operator.

Each of our motorway stations are equipped with charging terminals offering a maximum power of 300 kW, including two CCS charging points. In addition, every station will include one terminal equipped with CHAdeMO and T2 sockets. Our goal is to offer all available charging options to electric vehicle drivers!
Consult your manufacturer documents to identify your vehicle’s connector type (CCS, CHAdeMO or Type 2).

ENGIE Vianeo fast-charging terminals equipped with CCS or CHAdeMO connectors have cables. You do not need your own cable for this type of terminal.
However, you will need your own cable to charge at an AC charging point with a Type 2 connector.

Charging time will depend on the terminal’s type and power output. For our ultra-fast charging terminals (between 150 and 300kW), charging generally takes 20 to 30 minutes!
Charging time also depends on a number of factors, e.g. vehicle power, battery capacity and condition, cable quality, ambient temperature and desired charging rate. Your vehicle automatically adjusts the charging power according to the specific charging curve, which can be found on the manufacturer’s website. Note that when charging your battery above 80%, charging speeds are significantly reduced as opposed to when charging between 10% and 80%.

If two vehicles are simultaneously connected to a single terminal, charging power is shared two ways, which may affect your vehicle’s charging time.

Charging power will depend on your vehicle. All electric vehicle models can charge at 300kW terminals, which offer the maximum power supply. Your vehicle will automatically adjust the power supply according to its charging curve, which is specific to each vehicle model.

The supplied power may vary depending on several factors :
if several vehicles are charging on a single terminal, the power will be shared between the vehicles,
the power received by a vehicle significantly drops when charging a battery above 80%,
battery temperature also has an impact on the power received: decreased power at low temperatures.

The energy supplied by ENGIE Vianeo charging terminals is 100% carbon-free! It is produced from renewable energy sources: hydroelectric, wind, solar, etc. We ensure traceability on the renewable electricity thanks to a certificate attesting to its origin.

It depends on your needs. You should note that charging speeds are significantly reduced when charging your battery above 80%.
During the first stages of charging, charging speeds are generally faster as the battery can take in more energy. This means that the battery can quickly charge the fist few percentages. However, as the battery approaches its maximum charge capacity, charging speed gradually decreases.
Specifically, there is generally a drop in charging speed when the battery reaches 70%, and more so at 80%. This drop helps protect the battery from overheating and damage by limiting the charging power when it is almost full.
This charging curve may vary from one electric vehicle model to another.
Moreover, charging to 80% helps reduce wait times at terminals for all drivers during busy periods.

This is not necessary. In cold weather, simply connect your vehicle before starting it up and immediately turn on the heating to conserve the battery’s charge.

Yes.
The battery loses energy. It also uses this energy to maintain a certain temperature. Therefore, you have to charge it once in a while – even in winter.

Thanks to eco-driving, you can reduce your vehicle’s energy consumption by 20% to 40%, which represents an additional distance of 20% to 40%!

What is the optimum operating temperature for an electric vehicle?
Between 0 °C and 40 °C for lithium-ion batteries. Extreme cold and heat have a significant impact, causing a 10% to 30% drop in range according to models.

How to use the AC without significantly reducing your vehicle’s range?
Turn on the AC via a mobile app while the vehicle is connected to a terminal; this feature is available on many electric vehicle models.

How to charge your vehicle during a heat wave?
It’s best to charge at night or early in the morning, i.e. when it’s less hot. During the day, you can use covered stations or underground car parks; several mobile apps are available to help you locate them.

How should you drive in order to optimise your vehicle’s range during high temperatures?
Smooth and continuous driving reduces the risk of overheating the battery. Turning on the AC while charging allows to reduce consumption during your journey.

All of them: design (a needs and site analysis, definition of a suitable solution), installation (administrative procedures, site supervision, commissioning), operation, customer service and maintenance!
